| How we filtered it | The 1,173 domains the registry types 'Federal - Executive'. Those the Tranco list ranks (501 are in its million) are tried in rank order; the rest follow one organization at a time, so an unranked fill reads as a spread across government. Each is fetched with redirects followed and the landing site is the row, so a name that redirects to another is not a second site, and neither is a second registered name for one site. No organization holds more than 50 rows (10%), because the Department of Health and Human Services alone has 63 ranked domains. The first 500 that answer are the cohort; every candidate passed over is recorded with its reason in census/sources/us-federal-sites-skipped.json.
